Rude customer service
I was just about to make a booking and I wanted to check about the double charge issue. When a hotel takes a payment on account and then another payment debits your account. Eventually payment on account shows on your balance but could take over a week. Tried to get some reassurances from their customer service and they were really rude. Huffing and puffing over the call at me. Just wanted a nice room for one night. Didn't even get my foot through the door.

Do not stay at this hotel
Do not stay at this hotel! The hotel didn't have anybody's rooms ready at 7pm. The customer service was abysmal, there was no-one there managing the situation, and they charged me twice. No apology. Honestly the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel.

Absolute shocking experience we were attending for the awards however an hour to check in then when got to check in only one room ready so 4 women and 1 man had to get changed in 1 room which was unacceptable finally got our rooms at midnight will never return to this hotel

Rude staff on reception
Rude staff on reception, had to use app with no other options. Old phone in room didn't work, so i had to have upto date phone to access room service etc but there equipment was ancient. Rude staff in spa. Horrible stay.

Lack of customer service skills.
I was awarded a voucher to use at the Montcalm Hotel London, it was for a 2 night stay, I contacted the hotel by phone requesting a further night. I was over talked by a man on the phone telling me to email my voucher code along with the request of an extra night. To date I have not heard from this company. Due to there inability to carry out simple customer service requests I will not be using the voucher in September 2021! I have booked a different hotel where the staff seem to have customer skills.

I would of given 5 stars if we had longer time in the pool and wished it was a little bigger. But one thing this place has amazing staff that make you feel welcomed. Room was clean and lovely. Didn’t want to leave. This hotel allows you to be who you are. Different characters you bump into. I will defo be coming again.
Calm relaxed and efficient with excellent staff x
I came away with my daughter for a special moment together to catch up . Wonderful experience the receptionist was efficient and kind . The staff where friendly and helpful . Our room was quirky with the windows but warm and cozy . Didn’t want to leave it . Went to the swimming pool area a must for every traveler. The surroundings and ambience was first class . Pillows and lighting amazing in the bedroom . Breakfast excellent just the right choice . Thankyou for an excellent 5 star stay . Best not tell everyone I won’t be able to book again it will be fully booked x

Overpriced
Overpriced. Very nice hotel overall. But 2 points. The food is way way overpriced. I paid over £50 for 2 glasses of wine and a main course. Second point. Breakfast was hopeless. There was no bread left out to make toast and there was no coffee. There wasn't anyone around until I was about to leave when a waitress turned up and offered me coffee. When I complained at checkout I expected, at least, for the breakfast bill to be waived but no. So, I won't be staying again.

Not so good hotel
Good hotel, but the staff stole my charger, as no one was in the room the following two days apart from cleaners. I know that I left it in the room, as I never take it out with me and it was the only item left behind. That's not acceptable irrespective of the times that we live in. Trust is trust and so I cannot stay at the Montcalm ever again.

Haven't checked in yet, but the representative that took my reservation spoke SO fast and appeared more interested in getting me off the phone than actually ensuring that all my details were accurate. Coming from another country, it was/is incredibly important for me to ensure that my details were on point. I hope my actual stay is a better experience.
Extremely frustrating check out…
Extremely frustrating check out experience. Despite having to prepay both an initial booking and then one extra night, having settled up for incidentals I was asked for my credit card again, for "an additional credit check". It is bad enough to have to prepay even an extension (and by the way, although they remembered to make me prepay, they forgot to give me an updated keycard forcing me to return to the check in deck late at night).
The hotel buildings are charming, but there is desperate need for better signage to navigate the corridors.
Excellent service
They have excellent customer service. They always take good care of their customer’s, making sure they have a comfortable stay.
They have spa facilities for relaxation.
I always use them and my kids love the hotel.
For the type of hotel the price is reasonable.

This hotel was great the staff are so helpful and professional the spa is amazing the only reason i can't give 5 star as our tv wasn't working well on a lot of channels as we wanted to chill in the room this was quit annoying however they did send someone up quickly to try and sort it and it was technical issue but this reuined our evening a little.

We received a complimentary upgrade and given a large two bedroomed suite for our stay. The whole experience was faultless. There are too many individual praises to list, however most of them relate to the friendly and helpful service we received from all the staff. We were made to feel very welcome and very comfortable. The hotel and facilities were very clean and well looked after...also, the cooked breakfast delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend the Montcalm.

Lacks warmth
Contemporary hotel with poor quality furniture and finishings.Shower had black moulding all around with shower head not working and hair still present from previous guests . Old windows that are not sound or air proof. Hotel just lacked cosy ness !
Staff where helpful with good service.
